![]() ![]() Let me reset this and select the new Control Line tool. But now, there’s a better way, and that’s Control Lines. And just like that, we’ve created a pretty good Mask over the entire water. So, I’ll knock part of that out by adding a negative Control Point up here in the sky. However, you can see that it has also selected the sky. Three ought to do it there, giving me all the water along the beach. To select the rest of the water, I’ll just add additional Control Points. Let’s enable Masks so I can see exactly what’s being selected and from here, you can see that I’ve created a Mask to select this part of the water. If I wanted to change the color of the water, I can simply drop a Control Point anywhere on the water. The first thing I want to show you are the new Control Lines, but first, I’m going to show you Control Points again. As in the past, DxO asked me to join them on their virtual press tour showing off the top new features to English speaking media around the world and I’d like to share those demos with you. DxO PhotoLab 5 and DxO FilmPack 6 both introduced some exciting new features. So short term I am going to continue using the Lightroom Catalogue for downloading images from my cameras and keeping them organized but also for processing RAW for my x100S.DxO has just released updates to two of their apps, PhotoLab and FilmPack. But I also have a Fuji X100S, which I cannot move over to PhotoPlus. I shoot mainly Canon but I have an Olympus TG-6, for which PhotoPlus 3 fortunately added support added with latest update. ![]() I dived in with both feet into Dxo but I am feeling pretty confident. I do a fair amount of HDR processing, so I will be checking out HDR Efex but I also have another package for that.įor better or worse. ![]() And I guess I don’t need Filmpack either but I have been having fun with it and I might keep it. ![]() I quickly changed tack and bought Nik 3 and dropped plans to buy Viewpoint. I had also decided not to buy Nik Collections, which I have never used before and was not very familiar with and thought was too expensive. I have the Film Pack on a 30 day trial and I was about to download Viewpoint. I already had PhotoLab 2 for use as a plug in with LR but the first step in my plan was upgrading to PhotoLab3 last month and starting to use it as a standalone processor. I am in the process of leaving Lightroom behind. ![]()
